Christian's Challenge
Christian was an 8 year old little boy when he was diagnosed with 4B Hodgkin Lymphoma on March 16, 2010. His cancer was at a very aggressive stage when it was discovered. The cancer had already attacked his bone marrow, lungs, liver, spleen, lymph nodes in his neck and ears, and he had a massive tumor in his chest pressing against his wind pipe as well as five other tumors in various places. Surprisingly, with everything that was ravaging his body, he did not have any symptoms except that his lymph nodes in his neck started tripling in size over the course of about one month.
In November 2010 Christian was in remission from cancer. We continued treatment and sadly, on January 27, 2011 Christian relapsed catapulting us back in the thick of the battle against pediatric cancer.
Christian is no stranger to challenges. He was born with Cerebral Palsy and has had to overcome many obstacles in his young life. Regardless, no one in his family ever expected a cancer diagnosis to be added to the list of trials Christian would have to face. Amazingly, he has shown everyone that he can smile and be brave in the midst of what most people would call a tragedy.
Christian views the world through a kaleidoscope. He sees a million pieces of HOPE!!!
